- You must make a clan! Even if you are solo. This is so Admins can help you better, and to help keep the map clean of “garbage” (forgotten campfires, torches, bedrolls...ect.) With Pippi there is a Heatmap that we can use to see everything placed on the map. This allows us to find your base easily, to find lost animals and random things that have been placed on the map.
- Personal Merchants and Dancers (Entertainers) are not allowed. There are public places on the map, where all of the merchants and entertainers will be made available for everyone to use! The large Port City (Khas Khemi River City), has all of the AoC merchants, as well as dancers. The Oasis will provide dancers for corruption removal. Faction specific merchants are available at the Faction Hall. Bobby and Sir Lanis are wandering merchants. Each week a Warp will be placed in a new location. When taken, the warp will zip you over to them!
- No personal maprooms. The only maprooms that are allowed on the map are at the Arenas (West of The Unnamed City, and in the North at Lorkan’s Wonder (Wayward’s castle)
- Faction specific items do NOT fall under “professional knowledge” rules. Example: You are Elven, but a farmer. You can still craft the Elven armor and weapons. You may need to trade for the materials, but you can craft them yourself.
- Trade Chat: Posts to TC need to be “left” while at a store. (One in desert, one in the North, one at the river city Khas Khemi, along Noob River) Format: “{Name} leaves a list of items with the Shopkeep at {insert store here}. I am in need of : {items} I have {items} for trade. I can be found at {rough location of home}. No “back and forth” in TC. You MUST BE at a STORE to post.
- Self sufficiency is a no-no. You need to pick a profession for your character and stick to it. If you want to be an armorsmith, there is no reason for you to have animal taming pens and thrall wheels. If you are an alchemist, there is no reason to have four top tier furnaces, armor benches, blacksmith benches, all with Named Thralls working them…..ect. (With the way crafting works, you will probably end up needing 1 of each crafting bench, no matter what profession you choose. This is fine. Clans of 2 or more to tend to be a bit self sufficient. This is to be expected.
- Hoarding pets/animals/thralls are not allowed. Keeping them in boxes, is not allowed. If you are a Thrall taker or an animal tamer, you cannot have thralls/animals “on hand”. If someone comes to you for one of these, you need to roleplay it out. Have a conversation. “Yes, I can get that for you but it will take a few days….” You get TWICE the RP out of that, rather than “Oh yeah I have it right here.” Not only is keeping them in boxes unrealistic, it affects server performance.
- Clans are limited to ONE (1) Animal Pen and ONE (1) Thrall Wheel. Placing multiples of these will result in them being removed by an Admin without warning.
- There is a hard cap of TEN (10) animals/thralls for a clan of one member. This number increases by three (3), for EACH additional clan member. Example: A clan of three members, could have a total of 16 pets/thralls. *This number does not include Thralls in benches, thralls in the thrall wheel, or animals in pens*
- The server will auto-clean up any extras at regular intervals. These will not be given back.
- If you choose to be a pet tamer, you may not be a Thrall Taker. If you chose to be a Thrall taker, you may not be a pet tamer. This is an attempt to divide up RP a little bit.
- Clean up after yourselves! If you are in a clan, you have the command /heatmap. It will show you where EVERYTHING you have placed is. Thralls, Pets and building pieces.
- Do NOT place items like torches, bridges, decorations...ect. Around the map, away from your base. Yes, it gets dark, but carry a torch with you. Yes, some places are difficult to get to, but you can literally climb almost everything in Conan. It litters the map with items and causes performance issues. EVERY item you place has a land claim radius. This makes it so others cannot build in the area.
If you log out in the open, outside, not in your own home, or if your home is open and easily accessible (You haven't put a roof on yet...etc) someone MAY come along and remove your armor, dye it funny colors or leave random things in your inventory. People are NOT allowed to TAKE things off your body. Everything must remain in the unconscious person's inventory. (This does NOT apply to corpses. If you die, and someone comes across your body before you get back to it, that is fair game)
It's just a fun/funny little thing we have always done, and I wanted to let everyone know!
